TrueSource is the licensed, API-first layer between energy products and the consumer. A partner integrates one API and supplies energy to its own customers under its own brand; TrueSource runs the regulated supply operations behind it.
This is the technical documentation for that integration.
The three parties
Every arrangement involves three parties. Which one holds a given obligation follows the supply licence, not the brand, and that determines what your integration is and is not responsible for.

The consumer's supply contract is with the licensed supplier; your brand fronts it. This is the arrangement Ofgem terms white label, and it is why supplying energy through TrueSource does not require you to hold a supply licence.
In the UK, TrueSource has licensed electricity market access through a partnership with a licensed supplier. The licensee of record for your market is confirmed during onboarding.
